Senior year Design Thesis project. A student collaborative project in the University of Hawai‘i Design Program. Worked alongside fellow design team (Alban Cooper, Etsuko Ono, and Megan Wong) to redesign the State Of Hawaii Environmental Council's annual report.
We integrated the element of food miles, the distance the ingredients/food had traveled from it's point of origin, to Hawai‘i. With these food miles we tracked the distance the ingredients of a local food favorite, plate lunch to illustrate the Environmental Council's theme of "food security and sustainability". The Environmental Council and state legislators used this report in deciding matters of state environmental policies.
